The overall feeling of this luxury bed and breakfast is one of tranquillity.

You can sit in the lounge and lose yourself in the piles of magazines, books, CDs, puzzles or play the grand piano at one of the best luxury hotels in the Lake District. Read your newspaper, access your lap top whilst drinking a glass of wine or continental beer, from our extensive collection.

There are many very good local restaurants in the areas from excellent bistros to 2 star Michelin places. We have a book of restaurants we recommend. For that special night out why not visit the local Michelin restaurant at Holbeck Ghyll for dinner and a free glass of champagne?

What a great location, tucked away in the quiet residential streets of Windermere village but close to the shops and restaurants.
Hosts Mary and Philip are lovely and interesting people and clearly have a passion to make guests as welcome as possible. The house is impressive and beautifully decorated.
