Description

Abbots Reading Farm is a traditional, working, family run farm within the Lake District National Park and is situated in the tranquil Rusland Valley.
We farm in a very environmentally sensitive way and are passionate about producing a top quality eating product from our traditional, native breeds of livestock.
We are in a Higher Level Stewardship agreement with Natural England and work closely with the RSPB and have been recognised as one of the most inspirational wildlife-friendly farms in the UK for 2010.

We are now able to offer the opportunity to stay on our farm in one of our new, fantastic Octolodges. We are in an ideal location for bird watching, walking and cycling and for exploring the delights of the Lake District.
