Description Set amongst scenery so beautiful it could make strong men weep, the Black Sail Youth Hostel, or Black Sail Hut as it is formally called, is a basic, remote, former shepherds bothy at the east end of Ennerdale Water.   Black Sail is wonderfully situated for access to many of the lake district classic mountains like Great Gable, High Stile, Red Pike, Pillar and Steeple. Buttermere, Wast water and Ennerdale Water are all within striking distance. The hut sleeps up to 16 people in one 8 bed room, and two 4 bed rooms. No car access, you're going to have to walk in. Exclusive use booking is possible from November to March.
