Broadoaks is an excellent example of a luxury Victorian country house with lovely grounds and a sweeping drive up to the entrance with its impressive fountain.
Situated near Troutbeck village it is a haven of peace and tranquility yet is just a short drive from Ambleside and Bowness.

The "Music Room" is a lovely guest lounge with a roaring fire and a Bechstein piano. The sofa's are extremely comfortable and the ambience is one of country house quiet and tradition with the wood panelling and decorative frescoes.
This is a room for reading the newspapers on a lazy sunday morning or enjoying a drink from the well stocked bar prior to a sumptuous meal..

We have an appetite for fine things, and the dining experience at Broadoaks in the recently refurbished Oaks Restaurant is truly special.
From a light lunch or afternoon tea to the new range of signature dishes developed by our head chef Taran Baxter, the award winning Michelin recommended kitchen at Broadoaks in the Lake District is passionate about the food we produce and always eager to create a mouth watering experience.
Sunday lunch at Broadoaks restaurant is a decadent feast of either 3 or 4 courses. Quality local Lake District meats are served in a traditional way with a selection of market vegetables and roast potatoes silver served to your table.
Come and relax for the afternoon with lunch and coffee on the terrace, the perfect way to wind down the week.

At Broadoaks we want everyone to enjoy our fantastic food and fine dining experience so we are always happy to cater for any specific dietary requirements, whether it’s a wheat or nut allergy or maybe there’s something the new trendy diet won’t allow, we will make sure your experience isn’t compromised just because you need something a little different.
Taran is a creative and considerate chef, so please don’t feel like you’re putting us out - we enjoy a challenge!

We have recently introduced " big bottles" of organic room amenities from "BATH HOUSE" a local manufacturer of fine soaps and body creams based in  Ambleside .

Sequoia Master Garden Suite
The new Sequoia Master Garden Suite is now available at Broadoaks Hotel in Cumbria.This suite is an extension to the existing coach house building and the jewel in Broadoaks crown.
Luxury accommodation with a hand carved Victorian four poster bed in the master bedroom and a double whirlpool bath, this suite is perfect for a romantic getaway for two.
Or if it’s too good to let the family miss out on bring them with you and make use of the second family bedroom.
Built out of Lakeland stone this suite has its own driveway and a private garden with a secluded patio ideal for that al fresco experience.

You can choose to have breakfast in the main house or have one of our waiters serve you to your suite, dine inside or out for your evening meal, whichever you choose the sequoia suite makes it all possible.
The lounge area is decorated with contemporary touches complimenting the high beamed ceilings and an open log/coal fire for those cooler evenings
(we will even light it for you!!).
This suite is furnished and equipped to the highest standard with your comfort and relaxation in mind and with views across Broadoaks manicured lawns and landscaped grounds you won’t want to leave the couch let alone the suite!.

Sequoia has an American style kitchen with its own breakfast bar that is set just off the lounge. As you would expect from this accommodation, the kitchen is fully equipped and includes a washing machine, dish washer and microwave but if you don’t fancy using them then why not enjoy a private dining experience instead.
The sequoia suite is also equipped with state of the art Bang & Olufsen TV and HIFI equipment, with audio and visual streaming you can take whatever you’re watching in the living room straight into the bedroom with the touch of a button.
Over 40 sky channels are available on the 2 flat screen TV’s, even one that moves on your command to give you the perfect viewing angle.
