Description Burnside Park Burnside Park is notable for its prime location. Nestling in the woods just three hundred meters from the shoreline of Windermere Lake on Bowness Bay, and just a short stroll of three hundred meters from the centre of Bowness village itself. The resort comprises of 46 luxury self catering cottages and apartments, there are one bedroom sleep four units and two bed sleep six units all of which can offer a very high standard of self catering. The self-catering units are fully equipped with televisions, DVD and VHS players, and sound systems and come complete with towels and bedding for full occupancy. Also on-site you have Parklands Country Club to which all our guests have free access, including swimming pool, gym,  solarium, sauna and steam room and beauty treatment salon.  Burnside Park has been providing top quality, luxury self catering holidays for over twenty years and prides itself on the quality of all of it's cottages and apartments. With an English Tourism 4 Star Quality in Tourism Award and an RCI Gold Crown Rating we have to work to the highest possible standards of housekeeping and maintenance . All of the cottages and apartments can provide some of the highest quality self catering accommodation in the Lake District. Accommodation For those who like the freedom of self-catering whilst maintaining the highest standards of their accommodation, our properties have been designed to harmonise with the Lakeland landscape, and are luxuriously equipped to the highest standards with fine furniture, fabrics and all the modern amenities you are ever likely to need. Sleeping 2-6 persons, there is no need to bring linen or items other than of a personal nature. The cottages and apartments are usually let on a weekly basis however we are often able to let for shorter periods particularly out of peak season. Children have their own outdoor play area within the confines of the resort grounds. The Burnside Park is located just a short stroll from the centre of Bowness-on-Windermere, and offers an ideal combination of the peace and tranquillity associated with the Lake District, and the first class services and attractions Bowness has to offer including many good restaurants & pubs, shops and galleries, a cinema and a theatre all within a five minute walk. Pets: £20 per pet per part week or £39 per pet for full week. As a guest at Burnside Park you will have access to Parklands Country Club at the Burnside Hotel. The club incorporates : Swimming pool with children's area,Jacuzzi, Sauna, steam room and jet showers. The more energetic may prefer a game of Badminton or squash, or a workout in our well equipped Gymnasium. On the first floor is a comprehensive Club lounge and bar, Two full-size snooker tables,Solarium, Viewing galleries overlooking the squash courts and swimming pool. For those wishing to pamper themselves Parklands has a beauty salon specialising in Massage and a wide range of Beauty treatments - It is advised that reservations for treatments be made by prior arrangement . Designed and equipped to the highest standards, Parklands Country Club facilities are fully available to all guests staying in  self-catering cottages and apartments. Discover The Lakes had a tour of the cottages and apartments with the resort manager Lisa and was very impressed with the standard of accommodation on offer. Some cottages have splendid views or are nestled next to a babbling brook running through the grounds. The centre of Bowness while just a short walk away is a million miles away in terms of the peace and quiet in the resort. There is a handy guest lounge with a complimentary desktop PC and wi-fi in the cottages.
