Welcome to our family owned Cherry Garth Hotel situated in Ambleside at the heart of the English Lake District.

Superbly situated less than five minutes walk from both the centre of Ambleside and Lake Windermere, guests benefit from a sunny south westerly aspect with wonderful views over the surrounding Lakeland fells
Cherry Garth is a non-smoking hotel which welcomes well behaved pets. We have 12 en-suite bedrooms including four-poster, deluxe and family sized rooms. Ample off-street car parking is available.The landscaped garden features level lawns, attractive sitting areas, an ornamental pond and a wide variety of mature flowering shrubs and bushes.Amy & Viv are waiting to welcome you to Cherry Garth Hotel.

Situated in the picturesque lakeland village of Ambleside, less than one mile from Lake Windermere, we are in the very heart of the Lake District.

Twelve en-suite bedrooms in all, six of which have four poster beds and jacuzzi baths. Families are welcome in our larger rooms.
All the rooms are individually and tastefully furnished, some with DVD and Video players and trouser presses.
Some rooms feature lakeland stone walls and eleven rooms have wonderful views of the lakeland fells.he lounge / breakfast room features a lakeland stone wall. Patio doors lead onto the garden terrace with superb views of the lakeland fells.

The lounge area is also home to our family of fish, who live in a large tank in one corner of the room.
he view from the hotel across the garden to the lakeland fells is quite stunning. If you are a keen walker the hotel is an excellent base and we have a drying room available.

Cherry Garth Hotel has a residents licence. There are over 20 restaurants of various styles and preferences within 5 minutes walk - 2 are within 150 yards of the hotel. Amy and Viv will be pleased to advise you and sample menus are available.
