Description Right on the shores of Coniston Water, just outside the village of Coniston itself, Coniston Boating Centre is a great place to go for a day out in the lake district. You can hire electric or rowing boats, canoes, kayaks, and dinghys, learn to sail, store or launch your own boat, and even get boat repairs done. If you don't fancy spending time on the lake, it's an ideal spot for an afternoon picnic too. No picnic basket? you're in luck, the Coniston Boating Centre is also the home of the Bluebird Cafe.
