Earthquake In Ulverston, Cumbria

An earthquake  hit the popular market town of Ulverston today at 11.20am. The tremor with a magnitude of 3.7 shook buildings, but there are no reports of damage or injuries. Shocked local resident Perry Hodder commented "I heard a loud bang, then the whole house shook for about ten seconds".
