As a holiday home location Gatebeck is nestled in a semi-woodland location amidst unspoilt countryside and quiet country lanes with the local village of Endmoor only a leisurely stroll away.
Gatebeck, just on the outskirts of Kendal, is ideally located for access to the Lake District, Yorkshire Dales, Silverdale and Arnside, all outstanding areas of natural beauty. The ancient market town of Kendal with its unique and individual shopping facilities, weekly markets and cobbled yards is only a few miles away.
The park is open for ten and a half months of the year, so whatever your intentions, whether it is for a weekend retreat, or maybe perhaps even sharing your leisure time between here and abroad, Gatebeck could be the perfect place for your holiday home.
Gatebeck offers complete privacy and relaxtion with no hire fleet, a perfect location to escape to with the family.

Holiday home ownership is an investment in your family’s leisure time. If you want to start enjoying the benefit of holiday home ownership then here are some facts to get you started.
There are annual running costs to consider when purchasing a holiday home. These include site fees, local rates, gas and electricity as well as insurance. More information on these costs will be explained by our sales team on park when you visit us.
We can also offer you the following to assist you in getting you started in holiday home ownership
Part Exchanges Welcome
If you already own a holiday home on another holiday park and wish to leave to join any South Lakeland Park we can assist the transfer, allowing you to offset your current holiday home in part exchange towards your new one. If you already have a motorhome or tourer* we also would be happy to part exchange this against the cost of your new holiday home.
Try Before You Buy Breaks
Ask about our ‘try before you buy’ breaks. Come and try our parks and facilities on a short break and experience what ownership could be like for you.

Finance Options
We have a range of finance plans on offer to suit your individual budget needs making holiday home ownership more affordable than you think. These options will be discussed with you during your park visit.
Insurance Cover
Your holiday home must be appropriately insured at all times. South Lakeland Parks will issue you with a quotation for your holiday home insurance. Please call our insurance department on 015395 69840 or email insurance@southlakelandparks.co.uk for a no-obligation quotation.
Sublet Management Opportunities
We can offer you sublet management through South Lakeland Holidays where we handle all the marketing, cleaning, key handling and bookings for your holiday home. Income from this can be used to help with your annual running costs. Please call our Holiday Reservations Manager on 015395 69835 to discuss the opportunities.
Running Costs
When considering purchasing your holiday home you need to budget for additional running costs. Costs include rates, metered electric and metered or bottled gas. More information on these costs can be given on park when you visit us.
Directions to Gatebeck
From the North and South
Leave the M6 at junction 36, then at roundabout take the 3rd exit onto the A590 (signposted Kirkby Lonsdale, Skipton)
At roundabout take the 1st exit onto the A65 (signposted Crooklands, Endmoor)
Continue forward onto the A65. Entering Crooklands
Continue forward (signposted Kendal)
Continue forward onto Main Street - A65. Entering Endmoor
Turn right onto Enyeat Road and immediately left onto Woodside Road
Bear right onto Gatebeck Road
Gatebeck park is 100 yards on the right hand side.
