Horse Racing
 Cumbria has two racecourses, Carlisle racecourse in the North of the county, and Cartmel racecourse in the Southern Lake District.
Carlisle races have a history dating back over 400 years, and Cartmel racecourse regularly sees raceday crowds of up to 30,000 racegoers.
