lakelandmazeaerial.jpgAbout the Maze

There are two mazes one of which is the mini maze covering an acre and a half which is designed to be suitable for children who can complete a quiz as they go round.
The main maze is vast!! Ten to twelve acres and growing to 8 feet tall at the height of the season. You can buy a sealed map and the money will be refunded if unopened. The total distance of pathways is 3-4 miles!
Do wear shoes suitable for walking - in wet weather wear your wellies...there are some available at the Farm Park if yours are at home!
The field is a working maize field. The ground may be uneven in places, so please take care. We are not responsible for personal injury.
In hot weather please make sure you have water and that you drink plenty. Soft drinks are available at the reception area for you to purchase.
Please remember to visit the toilets before you enter the maze - you could be in there for over 2 hours!

Farm Animals

Farmer Ed has plenty of animals to see and feed! This year Farmer Ed has been busy allocating even more areas for additions to his livestock. Raines Hall Farm is a working farm, so as well as cattle, sheep and various breeds of pig, he has llamas, alpacas, with their lovely soft coats, pygmy and angora goats, and horses. Oh, and let’s not forget Winston the donkey!.
Pets Corner - play with the guinea pigs and rabbits!
New for 2011 See our new small animal barn with reptiles, chinchillas, degus and others!
Always remember to wash your hands if you have been handling the animals - hand gels are available around the farm. Hands should be washed with soap and warm water as well before eating.
All the animals at Raines Hall Farm are looked after to the highest standards.
