Description
Luxury Country House Bed and Breakfast Accommodation- Sleeping up to 14 Guests and adjacent Holiday Cottage Sleeping 6 - Licensed and serving dinner.
The perfect place for a celebration or gathering of family and friends.
Just a stone's throw from the western shores of Lake Windermere in the English Lake District, sits Low Graythwaite Hall, a beautiful 16th century country house set in four acres of gardens and woodlands, offering superior bed and breakfast accommodation and a delightful self-catering holiday cottage.
We are also licensed and serve dinner.
Set at the base of Grizedale Forest and just five miles from the picturesque village of Hawkshead, Low Graythwaite Hall is the ideal spot for touring and enjoying all that the Lake District has to offer. From this stunning location, you can enjoy fell walking, fishing, horse riding, mountain biking and exploring the numerous possibilities for fun days out.
All our guests benefit from a variety of leisure facilities. There is an indoor heated swimming pool which is open every day of the year and free to use.
There is also a gym available for guests at an extra charge.
Comfort & Hospitality
When you come to Low Graythwaite Hall you can be assured of an excellent stay in comfortable and welcoming surroundings.
From the moment you step into the oak panelled hallway, then through to the spacious guest lounge with its magnificent fireplace and fantastic views, you will sense that you are in for a special stay in this Lake District Bed and Breakfast.
Log fires and deep comfortable sofas entice you to snuggle down with a good book and a hot drink or relax with your friends over a bottle of wine.
In the summertime we throw open the French doors which lead you out to the lovely gardens where you can sit and enjoy the view.
If we see you in the lounge we are happy to provide you with hot drinks and delicious cookies.
The Rooms
Stay in style at Low Graythwaite Hall. Book one of our five beautiful bedrooms where you'll find traditional style complemented by modern comfort, including an en suite bathroom, locally produced toiletries, well-stocked hospitality tray, colour television and DAB radio.
Each room has been individually furnished and decorated, offering a high standard of accommodation within a relaxed and friendly atmosphere. Quiet and peaceful, Low Graythwaite Hall is the idyllic location for a weekend or more away in the English Lake District.
For your comfort we provide fluffy towels and large bath sheets to wrap yourself in, complimentary locally produced toiletries, hair dryers and hospitality trays offering tea, coffee, hot chocolate and delicious biscuits. Herbal and fruit teas are also available on request. In addition we service your room every day of your stay.
Particular emphasis has been placed in sourcing and fitting out each room with beautiful fabrics, superb beds with hand-made mattresses and many other quality fittings whilst at the same time retaining many of the period features you would expect to find in this 17th century country house. Views from the rooms are excellent and we have provided you with as many home comforts as possible. Each and every room is unique and decorated differently...so much so that many of our guests have personal favourites, having tried them all. Low Graythwaite Hall truly is a hidden Lakeland gem.
Dining
The breakfast room, with its oak panelling, open fire, feature round window and French doors opening onto the large lawns and gardens, is where we set our guests off on a great start to the day!
A traditional Cumberland full breakfast is served each morning using only locally farmed produce and our own free range eggs.
If you prefer something lighter, a range of produce is available on our breakfast buffet.
Our tea and coffee is all Fairtrade. Vegetarians and guests with special dietary needs can be accommodated.
We are now licensed and serve dinner (by prior arrangement)
2 courses £20.00 pp or
3 courses £25.00 pp
Coffee £2.00
