Lowick Show Defies The Weather and is On!

Lake District shows have endured torrid times over the last few years with torrential downpours forcing last minute cancellations. Not only does this deprive locals and visitors alike of a great day out, but the dedication and hard work of the organisers gets washed down the drain, often leaving the future of the event in doubt.

So hats off to the organisers of Lowick Show who have decided that the show will take place whatever the weather. The message is "bring your wellies" and come and enjoy yourself. Tractors will be at the ready to free any vehicles that get stuck in the mud, so come along and support us.

All the usual lakedland show activities are there to be enjoyed on Saturday 5th September 2009 and the show field can be found opposite St Luke's Church Lowick.

Entry is £5 for adults, £2.50 for children under 16, and free for under 5's. Car Parking is free.
