Blackwell Arts And Crafts House
Blackwell is one of England's most important surviving houses from the turn of the 20th century. Designed by Mackay Hugh Baillie Scott between 1898 and 1900, it is a superb example of Arts and Crafts movement architecture. Brantwood
Brantwood is the former home of Conison's most famous resident John Ruskin and forms part of a great day out that includes the Ruskin Museum plus a trip on the Gondola and afternoon tea in Jumping Jenny's cafe within the grounds of the house. The view from the various terraces at Brantwood is arguably one of the best in the Lakes, taking in Coniston Old Man and a large sweep of the lake itself.
