Description

Situated in the village of Portinscale in the Lake District, this Grade II listed, Georgian house offers stylish ensuite rooms, locally sourced food and stunning views towards Skiddaw.

Portinscale village is a mile from Keswick (5 minutes drive or 20 minutes scenic walk). The village boasts two eateries (one being only 70 metres from our front door), a village cafe and shop and two Marinas. The Keswick Launch lands at one of these Marinas allowing easy access to the whole of Derwentwater and surrounding walks.

Room 1 (above left) is a double or twin room that looks out over the back garden and has a view of Skiddaw. This is a ground floor room that contains a super king size bed that can be divided into two separate beds.
Room 2 (above right) is a double room that looks out over a view of Skiddaw. This room contains a king size bed.

Room 3 (above left) is a double room that overlooks the front garden. This room contains a king size bed and can be adapted to accommodate a single bed.
Room 4 (above right) is a single room with en-suite wet room that overlooks the front garden.

Room 5 (above left) is a double room that overlooks the front garden. This room contains a king size bed and a comfortable leather sofa.
Room 6 (above right) is a double room that looks out over a view of Skiddaw.

  making facilities using Fair Trade products, a hair dryer and a radio alarm clock.
• Every bedroom is fully en-suite with the added luxury of powerful showers.
• A traditional English breakfast is served between 8.30am and 9.00am.
• Powe House is a No Smoking establishment.
• We are unable to accommodate pets.

Portinscale is ideally situated for access to Northern and Western Lakes.
We are only 15 minutes drive from Grasmere, 30 minutes from Ambleside, 40 minutes from Windermere and 50 minutes from Carlisle and Scotland.
