Description
St Annes Cottage is a much sought after country retreat in the heart of the beautiful Langdale Valley. It boasts uninterrupted panoramic views of the Langdale Pikes and is situated within a lovely three acre garden with lawns, ponds and a small meadow and woods. We highly recommend that you book early for this property.
It was designed and built by a stained glass artist in the 1920s originally as a his working studio. St Annes Cottage has many delightful features, including a beamed ceiling, leaded windows, and stained glass insets.
The picturesque village of Chapel Stile, with its shop, café and Wainwright’s pub, is just half a mile away. The Langdale Valley walks to the Pikes and Dungeon Ghyll, are right on the doorstep.
Guests are very welcome to bring their dog and children love the gardens to play in.  There is a terrace with table and chairs, and a summer barbeque area.
The cottage comfortably sleeps four in two bedrooms; a king-size double and a twin room.

A large and and nicely furnished oak beamed lounge, accessed by steps down from the entrance, is the main feature of the cottage with a leaded door opening out onto the garden and little slate terrace.
The recently refurbished kitchen/dining room is fully newly equipped with all you need for self catering, including touch screen hob, electric oven, microwave, fridge/freezer and dishwasher.
The bathroom also includes an overhead shower.

There is private parking and safe mountain bike storage and a gated area for small sailing crafts.
All bedding (linen, duvets and electric blankets) is supplied but guests are kindly requested to bring their own towels.
This rare cottage is open all year, except Christmas and New Year, with weekly bookings from Saturday to Saturday.
St Annes Cottage rents out at a highly competitive rate of £450 to £600 per week according to season, with all gas central heating and electricity included in the price. There is also Sky TV.
Regular guests to St Annes Cottage have called it “A little piece of heaven”.

Great Langdale is one of Discover The Lakes favourite places to be and we can't really think of a better place than a cottage there on a sunny evening enjoying an al fresco glass of wine. It is of course prime walking and climbing  territory but there are other amenities such as pubs and attractions etc nearby. The cottage is within easy reach of Ambleside with its shops and restaurants.
