Description St Marys Mount is situated in the historic market town of Ulverston, on the fringe of but close to the Lake District. St Mary's Mount lies in a quiet part of town, just below the famous Hoad Monument, with tremendous views over Morecambe Bay and Ulverston. The centre of town is just minutes away with pubs restaurants and the world famous Laurel & Hardy museum at your fingertips. St Marys Mount offers freshly-cooked foods made from the finest ingredients, usually organic and local. Even the jams and marmalade you will enjoy at breakfast are home made. All tastes, including vegetarian, can be catered for. And if, after a hard days sight-seeing you fancy a night in, in front of the fire in the relaxing lounge, evening meals can also be provided. The accommodation presents a warm, homely and relaxed atmosphere. The furnishings are mainly antique, except in the bathrooms where everything is up to date and is meant to pamper: with jacuzzis and/or power showers in the en-suite bathrooms. All rooms have views, either over Morecambe Bay and Ulverston, or of the private gardens. There is also a large conservatory which has views over the Bay. St Mary's Mount Manor is a lovely imposing building tucked away in an elevated position at the foot of Hoad Hill with its famous monument and has panoramic views. The Stables annexe can be used as a weekly cottage with 3 bedrooms and is fitted to a very high standard. Evening meals are a real bonus and Marion has a great reputation for food! For Walkers this is the ideal base to explore the Furness Peninsula or the Lakeland fells or for the adventurous a great place to stay if you are tackling the Cumbrian Way
