The Cumbria Way

The Cumbria Way is an exciting journey through some of the most beautiful and varied landscapes that Cumbria offers. Reaching from Ulverston to Carlisle the route offers walkers 70 plus miles of walking through some of the most scenic and inspiring landscapes in Britain as well a real sense of achievement at the end of it.

The accepted stages are:
Ulverston to Coniston - 16 miles
Coniston to Langdale - 13 miles
Langdale to Keswick - 15.5 miles
Keswick to Caldbeck - 16 miles
Caldbeck to Carlisle - 15 miles

Accommodation en route can be problematic as many establishments no longer offer one night stays.
