The Wilson Arms at Torver near Coniston is a family run business. This charismatic Lake District inn is the perfect getaway and a stop of for many walkers in the area.

This amazing location means that this family run pub provides a fantastic base for walking up Coniston Old Man or exploring around Dow Crag. There are many other areas for visiting when staying or stopping in at The Wilson Arms, the beautiful Duddon Valley, Furness Fells or a maybe even Grizedale Forest. Once inside The Wilson Arms you can relax in front of the open log fire with some of Coniston’s locally brewed ale or a fresh cup of coffee.
The friendly team at The Wilson Arms can even collect you (and your bikes) from Oxenholme station - they're closer than you might think! Take the 3:30pm from London Euston, let the train take the strain and by 6:30pm you could be relaxing in front of their roaring fire, sipping a pint of locally-brewed Hawkshead Gold whilst considering your options for the following day.
The Wilson Arms takes pride in using only the freshest produce sourced from the Lake District's very best, prize-winning farms and suppliers. Food can be enjoyed in the bar, dining room or al fresco in the heated beer garden.

Discover The Lakes knows The Wilsons well as it is a favoured stop off on our travels. There is always a warm welcome, easy parking and good food. An excellent choice for accommodation being close to Coniston (lake and village) yet in a quiet hamlet. It is also not far from Broughton In Furness a lovely village well worth a visit. Lots of scope for activities round and about from pony trekking to climbing and kayaking.
