Muncaster Castle in the Western Lake District is once again preparing for the most foolish day of the year,with an American Jester leading the way for the first time.
Tom Fool’s Day at Muncaster Castle has become a yearly treat for children and families alike.
Tom Fool, better known as Thomas Skelton, was Muncaster’s Fool in the 16th Century and was the inspiration for the Fool in Shakespeare’s King Lear. 
Yes of course its on April Fools Day and Paul Garbanzo from Virginia, is jetting in to become king of Muncaster Castle for the day.
Families can see Pauls array of juggling,fire-eating and hilarious tomfoolery in two special performances.
The event runs from midday until 4.30pm and tickets cost £7.50 for adults, £5.50 for children aged between five and 15-years-old and £24 for a family ticket (two adults and two children).
