Welcome to Whinfell Tarn Luxury Log Cabin our high quality, “Alpine” style self-catering 2 bedroom log cabin.
Nestling in an elevated position amongst magnificent fir trees, Whinfell Tarn is “Dog Friendly” & provides holiday accommodation of the highest standard for up to 4 people, within a secluded and peaceful 18 ½ acre private woodland estate in the heart of The Lakes.

The cabin benefits from night storage heating / double glazing.
Accommodation basically comprises:

Open Plan Living Room with flatscreen TV/DVD, comfortable leather sofa/chair. The kitchen is fully equipped with electric oven and ceramic hob, fridge, microwave, kettle, toaster etc...

Bedroom 1 has a double bed, fitted wardrobe, wall mounted heater and has double glazing overlooking the decked area and rockery garden.

Bedroom 2 has twin beds and fitted wardrobe and wall mounted heater. Shower Room with shower cubicle/electric shower, W.C, Vanity Unit with shaver socket and light, heated towel rail and electric wall mounted fan heater.
Outside there is a decked area and rockery garden with BBQ and comfortable garden furniture.
Private parking for 1 vehicle. Extra vehicles can be parked in our main car park.

Visitors to Whinfell Tarn also have free use of the Estate Leisure Facilities (open 1st March to 15th November) including family sized swimming pool with built in jacuzzi, seating area, table tennis area, sauna cabin (local fees apply) and changing rooms. The building also has a public payphone, communal laundry, and a small shop.

in_our_view_final.jpgExcellent location being within easy reach of Coniston where you can take a cruise on the Steam Yacht Gondola, visit Brantwood (former home of John Ruskin) and Ambleside , with its range of pubs, shops and restaurants. Skelwith Bridge is home to the esteemed Chesters cafe which has a lovely walk starting behind the cafe up to Elterwater. Ideal!
