Yakkers

Yakkers Pub in Allithwaite, Grange over Sands, is a friendly family pub, serving great homemade food and a range of real ales. Formerly the Guide over Sands, Yakkers is almost a brand new pub rebuilt over a year with a new layout designed to make it bright and airy.

Wether you are a local or visitor to the area or the nearby Lakeland Caravan Park, Yakkers is a great place to meet, eat and relax, enjoy the views, the atmosphere and the great traditional fare. You can enjoy a bar meal in the bar area, upstairs on the balcony or in the restaurant. Food is served daily 12 - 9pm (8 on Sundays) see the menu page. There are daily specials on the specials board and pizza's can be ordered to take away too. The restaurant is also available for private parties and functions, outside catering is also available.

Yakkers is a family pub run by a fun family, managed by Bryany, daughter of Donna and Paul Latham who also have Duckys Park Farm nearby. Visitors to Duckys can collect a discount voucher that can be used at Yakkers.

Yakkers has regular monthly live entertainment and you can receive regular updates by clicking on their facebook link.

Yakkers current special offer is lunch for 2 for £10, available 12 - 4 Mon - Sat.

Menus

The Yakkers Pub is a family run free house. They use local produce and where possible make all their food which is cooked fresh to order.
Please be aware that there may be a wait at busy times but the food is worth it. They will try to cater for any dietary needs you may have, however small.

Local Attractions 

Duckys Park Farm
- A warm welcome awaits you at Ducky's Park Farm Visitor Centre. We have created a friendly, safe environment for families and schools to enjoy a fantastic day out, whilst learning about animal care and farming methods. There is plenty to do whatever the weather, so don't let the rain keep you at home!! Visitors to the farm can have close contact with a large variety of animals, with special times set aside to meet the residents and even Dilly the Duck himself!

Lakeland Miniature Village - Over 100 buildings made from local Coniston slate. Houses, farms and barns create the Lakeland landscape. There are water features throughout the miniature village. The Oriental Building, which is the gift shop, overlooks the Oriental Garden.

Also nearby are Humphrey Head -  the tallest limestone cliff in Cumbria, Holker Hall - the family home of Lord and Lady Cavendish, a delightful family home with fine displays of antique furniture and art with grounds covering 25 acres of formal and woodland gardens,  and Cartmel Races - National Hunt Racing in its most original format.
