The Grand Hall.

The Grand Hall itself is two storeys high and is lit by two huge stone mullioned stained-glass windows and is dominated by a huge “arts and crafts” fireplace, (which was originally commissioned for the house) now with a large wood burning stove warming at it’s heart.

The hall has a huge oak dining table with 12 oak chairs and an iPod dock for your tunes.

The Living Room.

The Living Room has two large stone-mullioned windows one with a bay and window seat where you can gaze across the garden and beyond to Stickle and Harrison Pike. This is where you’ll begin to understand why William Wordsworth wrote so passionately about The Lakes.

Again this room has an “Arts and Crafts” fireplace. The ceiling in this room is a masterpiece created at a time when plasters were artists in their own right the, detail is quite phenomenal. Perhaps the quirkiest features of the room are the designer sofas, which mix in a modern twist. With wooden floors and decadent rug this room is a designer’s delight.

Kitchen.

The kitchen at Oakland Hall is a gastronomes delight, with its 7-ring burner, twin fan oven cooker, American fridge-freezer and built-in microwave. Fitted with glossy flint grey units and “Nero” granite work-surfaces under no less than 8 Velux windows, the room is light and airy. To finish it all off, there’s a central island unit running down the centre of the kitchen with 5 oak stools and an 18-bottle wine cooler.

.

This is the ideal spot for your guests to “chillax” with a glass of wine and watch you perform your culinary magic! When the sun shines you can open the 10ft wide oak concertina doors and take breakfast alfresco.
