Coniston Country Fair Sunday July 19th 2009 sees the Coniston Country Fair offering the visitor an insight into traditional Lakeland. Cumbria Steam Gathering The Wall Of Death returns to Cumbria! Lakeland Country Fair The Lakeland Country Fair takes place at Torver, near Coniston, in beautiful countryside looking across to the Coniston fells and Coniston Old Man. It is easily accessible, at the junction of the A593 and A5084, a few miles west of Coniston village. Lowther Horse Driving Trials & Country Fair Bad weather has forced the organisers to cancel Britain’s biggest annual countryside show more than eight months before it was due to take place. Millom and Broughton Show The Millom and Broughton show is known locally as Broughton show, as it takes place in a large field just outside Broughton in Furness.
