Borrowdale Show and Shepherds Meet Borrowdale Shepherds meet and show takes place on the 3rd Sunday in September annually. The 2012 date is September 16th. Coniston Country Fair Sunday July 22nd 2012 sees the Coniston Country Fair offering the visitor an insight into traditional Lakeland. Cumbria Steam Gathering This year 2012 the Cumbria Steam Gathering will be held on the 28th and 29th July at Cark Airfield near Flookburgh. Lakeland Country Fair The Lakeland Country Fair takes place at Torver, near Coniston, in beautiful countryside looking across to the Coniston fells and Coniston Old Man. It is easily accessible, at the junction of the A593 and A5084, a few miles west of Coniston village. As well as being a typical Cumbrian show, the Lakeland Country Fair acts as a showcase for traditional Cumbrian skills and activities.  There will be Herdwick and Swaledale sheep on display and demonstrations of hand-clipping will take place...... more

Millom and Broughton Show The Millom and Broughton show is known locally as Broughton show, as it takes place in a large field just outside Broughton in Furness. Westmorland County Show The Westmorland County Show is one of the oldest in Britain.It regularly attracts up to 25,000 people and is Cumbria's biggest livestock show.
