Bed and Breakfast in Eskdale
Eskdale is a wonderful valley in the Western Lake District with unspoilt scenery and a world away from the madding crowds, it is a real gem.
This is classic walking country but there is plenty for families to do including Muncaster Castle and the Ravenglass & Eskdale Railway.
Ravenglass itself has a fascinating history going back to Roman times (you can visit the Roman bath) and is the only coastal village within the National Park.
There is also Wastwater with its mighty screes which was voted Britains Best View and yes it does take a little longer to get to Eskdale but you will be glad you made the effort!
